ABOUT MY WORKS
ABOUT ME
My name is Anton Abyshev, I’m 25 years old, and art is my way of speaking to the world.
I was born in Omsk, in the heart of Siberia, where the stark contrasts of nature and life shaped my perception. Now I live in Turkey, and here — surrounded by sunlight and deep shadows — I continue to seek harmony in contradictions.
I’m a product designer by education, but visual art has always been an essential part of my life. I’ve explored various styles and techniques before finding my own voice — a language of contrasts, emotions, and meaning.
My work is a collision of color and monochrome, light and shadow, motion and stillness.
I create paintings that are dynamic yet calm, where the focus is not on detail, but on feeling, atmosphere, and depth.
Many of my pieces touch on social and contemporary issues, revealing them from new, sometimes unsettling perspectives. Others reflect my own emotions and experiences at the time of creation. But even in those, there is meaning — encoded in lines, textures, and empty spaces.
I don’t paint for beauty alone. I create art that is meant to be felt, contemplated, remembered.
My paintings are not just images — they are open-ended questions that awaken thought.
